Product Overview

This machine provides a preparation stage for compatible liquid soap, shampoo and related formulations that can be processed without an integrated heating jacket. Its frame agitator moves the bulk batch, while wall-scraping blades act along the vessel wall. A separate bottom-entry rotor-stator homogenizer supplies localized high shear.

For liquid detergent and household cleaning production, the system can be evaluated for ingredient incorporation, dispersion and final blending. Selected shampoo, body wash and personal care formulations may use different settings or processing sequences, particularly where surfactants and viscosity-building ingredients are involved.

Compatible lotion, cosmetic preparation and sauce applications require their own assessment. Products needing heated dissolution, separate hot phases, vacuum deaeration or controlled cooling need additional equipment or a different processing arrangement.

The mechanical seal on the bottom homogenizer uses water cooling. This service supports the seal assembly and does not provide controlled cooling of the batch. The vessel itself is single-layer, without a heating jacket or insulation.

The platform supports the specified operating layout, while push-button controls and variable-frequency adjustment keep processing decisions under operator control. Bottom-valve discharge can connect to an optional external transfer pump selected around the actual product.

Machine Configuration

The assembly combines a single-layer vessel, a scraper-equipped frame agitator and a bottom-entry single-stage rotor-stator homogenizer. Bulk agitation distributes material through the tank, while the homogenizer processes material entering its working zone.

The homogenizer mechanical seal has a water-cooling arrangement. Its supply, return and operating requirements must follow the selected seal assembly. This circuit is separate from the product pathway and is not a jacket-cooling system.

The semi-open top and operation platform form the specified charging and access arrangement. The final drawing should identify the cover layout, operating positions and installed protection.

Variable-frequency drives provide the supplied speed adjustment, with push-button operation for the agreed functions. A butterfly valve and tri-clamp connections provide the product outlet. Optional rotor, diaphragm or screw pump transfer requires application selection. Heating, insulated construction, vacuum processing and automatic CIP are not included in the supplied specification.

Working Principle

Production begins with charging the initial liquid according to the approved formulation sequence. The batch must satisfy the equipment’s operating-level requirements before either mixing system starts. The homogenizer seal-cooling service is established according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

The frame agitator creates bulk movement through the vessel. Its wall-scraping blades help move material adjacent to the tank wall back into the surrounding batch. Their effectiveness depends on the installed geometry, product behavior and blade condition.

Where high shear is required, the bottom rotor turns within its stator. Material passing through the working zone experiences shear that supports compatible dispersion and agglomerate breakdown. Bulk agitation helps bring material from the rest of the vessel toward this processing region.

Operators adjust the sequence and speeds according to ingredient behavior. A formulation may require high shear during one incorporation stage and gentler mixing after another addition. Maximum speed should not be treated as the default for every ingredient or product.

Water circulates through the mechanical-seal cooling arrangement under its specified operating conditions. It does not provide a controlled batch-cooling function. The operator should monitor product temperature separately because mixing can change the thermal condition even without a heater.

Once the batch meets its agreed quality checks, product leaves through the butterfly valve. An optional external pump can transfer it to holding or filling equipment. The process ends with product recovery and the approved cleaning procedure.

🔧 Common Problems

Possible observable symptoms include uneven ingredient distribution, visible streaks, persistent agglomerates, material accumulating near the wall, limited movement in part of the vessel, excessive foam or retained air. Operators may also observe unexpected product-temperature rise, inconsistent results between samples, abnormal homogenizer noise, agitator vibration, unstable speed response, motor or VFD trips, seal-water leakage, changes in the visible cooling-water return, damaged scraper edges, slow discharge or product remaining after emptying. Cleaning-related observations may include residue around blade attachments, the bottom working head or the outlet valve. These are potential observations rather than confirmed defects and should be recorded with the batch stage, liquid level, settings and seal-cooling condition.

🛠 Troubleshooting

Problem: The batch remains visibly uneven. Possible Cause: The charging sequence, operating level or bulk circulation is unsuitable for the formulation. Recommended Solution: Review the approved process record. Check agitation and ingredient order before increasing homogenizer speed or duration.Problem: Foam increases during processing. Possible Cause: Air enters during charging or mixing; the high-shear stage is unsuitable for the current ingredients. Recommended Solution: Review the liquid level and processing sequence. Adjust only within the agreed operating window rather than treating the homogenizer as a deaerator.Problem: The seal-cooling return changes or becomes unavailable. Possible Cause: The water service or return route is interrupted or restricted. Recommended Solution: Stop the affected drive according to the operating instructions. Inspect the service against the seal documentation before restarting.Problem: The homogenizer produces abnormal noise or vibration. Possible Cause: Inadequate product coverage, deposits, foreign material or a mechanical fault. Recommended Solution: Stop and isolate the affected assembly. Obtain qualified inspection before restarting or replacing parts.Problem: Product collects near the vessel wall. Possible Cause: Scraper condition, attachment or operating settings do not suit the product. Recommended Solution: Review the approved process settings. Isolate the machine before inspecting the scraper assembly.Problem: Discharge becomes slow. Possible Cause: Product viscosity, valve restriction or the selected pump is unsuitable. Recommended Solution: Review the outlet route and transfer duty. Do not pressurize the atmospheric vessel to force emptying.

Why Choose This Machine

  • Complementary mixing duties: The frame agitator handles bulk movement while the bottom homogenizer supplies localized shear, allowing the process to use each function at the appropriate stage.
  • Wall-scraping action: The blades help renew material near the vessel wall, supporting circulation without claiming complete removal of every deposit or retained product.
  • Defined seal support: Water cooling is provided for the homogenizer mechanical seal, with its operating requirements treated separately from the product process.
  • Appropriate non-heated platform: The single-layer vessel avoids unnecessary thermal-processing functions where the approved formulation does not require them.
  • Operator-led flexibility: Push-button controls and adjustable speeds suit documented manual charging and processing instructions without assuming automatic recipe sequencing.
  • Downstream integration: The bottom outlet and optional pump arrangement can be selected around the product’s actual discharge condition and the receiving equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is intended for manufacturers whose compatible formulations require bulk agitation and bottom-entry high shear without integrated heating or vacuum processing. Evaluate the complete recipe, including ingredient preparation and finishing stages. The product name alone does not establish that every liquid soap or shampoo formulation can be manufactured in this arrangement.
Yes. The confirmed arrangement is a frame agitator with wall-scraping blades. The earlier “Without Scraper” entry should be corrected. The blade material has not been specified, so it should be confirmed in the purchase schedule rather than automatically described as PTFE.
It refers to water cooling of the bottom homogenizer's mechanical seal. The service supports the seal assembly and is separate from the product pathway. It does not mean the vessel has a cooling jacket or that the machine can maintain a selected product temperature.

Installation Requirements

Use the final general arrangement drawing to plan the complete tank and operation platform. Overall dimensions have not been supplied. Confirm the installation footprint, platform access, charging height, overhead service clearance and component-removal space before approving the location.

The listed machine weight is 700 kg. Assess floor and support requirements using the complete operating loads, including the actual product mass and connected equipment. Calculate product mass from formulation density rather than assuming every liter weighs one kilogram.

Confirm the electrical supply against the final agitator, homogenizer, VFD and control-panel schedule. The listed total power is 12 kW. Qualified personnel should determine cable sizing, protection and protective earthing. Any external transfer pump requires separate utility assessment.

Provide the water service required by the homogenizer mechanical-seal cooling arrangement. Obtain its specified water quality, flow, pressure, temperature and return requirements from the selected assembly documentation. This service is not a product-cooling circuit.

No steam supply, heating jacket, chilled-water product circuit or vacuum service is specified. Compressed air is only required where an explicitly selected auxiliary device uses it.

Provide suitable cleaning-water access and drainage. Confirm the semi-open top arrangement, platform access and installed operating protection before commissioning.

Technical Buyer's Handbook & Deep Insight

Who the 500L Semi-Open Liquid Soap & Shampoo Making Machine Suits

This model is a candidate for manufacturers preparing compatible liquid products without integrated thermal or vacuum processing. Its specific arrangement combines a 500L working vessel, scraper-equipped frame agitation, bottom homogenization and platform access.

It is most relevant when the formulation can be prepared under the available non-heated conditions and the production team uses documented operator-led instructions. The machine should be selected around the actual recipe rather than the general names liquid soap or shampoo.

Identify the demanding ingredient stage before ordering. A formulation that moves readily at the start may become more difficult to circulate after thickener addition or another structural change.

Separate Mechanical-Seal Cooling from Product Cooling

The defining cooling provision is the water-cooled mechanical seal on the bottom homogenizer. This service supports the installed seal assembly; it does not provide a thermal-control jacket around the product.

Obtain the seal drawing and utility instructions. Confirm the required supply and return conditions, how the operator checks the service and what actions apply if cooling becomes unavailable.

A requirement to protect the seal is different from a requirement to remove processing heat from the batch. If the formulation needs controlled cooling, this single-layer vessel should not be selected on the assumption that seal water will meet that duty.

Confirm That the Formula Can Use a Non-Heated Vessel

This tank has no heating jacket or insulation. Review whether every intended ingredient can be incorporated using the proposed preparation conditions.

Some products require heated dissolution, melting or controlled temperature stages. Those requirements need an external preparation method or a different equipment configuration. High shear does not automatically replace heating.

The 200L mobile electric heating homogenizing mixing tank is a specific heated alternative to assess where thermal processing is required. Its smaller working capacity means the production schedule must also be reconsidered.

Evaluate Frame Agitation and Scraping with the Actual Product

The confirmed agitator includes wall-scraping blades. Assess their action together with bulk circulation rather than judging performance only by whether the blades travel around the vessel.

During a trial, check ingredient distribution, material movement away from the wall and behavior around the bottom homogenizer. Review the product as viscosity develops, not only during the initial liquid charge.

The supplied agitation range is 1–63 rpm. The correct setting depends on the installed geometry and formulation. Scraper material, blade attachment and replacement access should be included in the final component schedule.

No viscosity limit has been provided. Obtain an application assessment rather than borrowing a value from another tank with a similar capacity.

Choose the High-Shear Stage Rather Than Running It Continuously

The bottom homogenizer has a listed 7.5 kW drive and a 0–3000 rpm speed range. These values identify the supplied drive arrangement, not a guaranteed finished-product particle size or processing time.

Define which ingredients benefit from high shear and when that stage ends. Surfactants, viscosity-adjusting materials and shear-sensitive ingredients may require different processing conditions.

The guide to air bubbles in cosmetic production provides further context for reviewing air incorporation. This machine should not be described as a vacuum deaerator or sold on the assumption that more homogenizing time will remove foam.

Plan Around 500L Working Capacity

The 600L full capacity is not the routine production allowance. Use the 500L working capacity as the starting limit, then review ingredient additions, product movement and formulation-specific foaming.

A minimum effective batch has not been supplied. Confirm the lowest required quantity against agitator engagement, scraper operation and coverage around the bottom working head.

To estimate output, include charging, ingredient incorporation, sampling, discharge and cleaning. A 500L vessel does not establish a fixed number of batches per shift or an equivalent quantity of saleable product.

Compare with a Larger Single-Layer Homogenizing Tank

The 5000L single-layer homogenizer mixing tank is a specific larger option for production schedules requiring substantially greater batch quantities.

It should not be treated as a simple ten-times scale-up of this 500L arrangement. The supplied larger model uses a different main mixing arrangement, and batch circulation must be assessed for its own vessel and formulation.

Compare routine order size, product variety, cleaning requirements and downstream capacity before increasing batch volume. A larger tank can be inconvenient when most orders remain small or change frequently.

Define the Semi-Open Top and Platform Arrangement

The semi-open description should be resolved into an actual drawing showing the cover, charging opening, operator positions and access protection. It does not establish unrestricted access during operation.

Review how powders and liquids enter, where operators stand and how ingredients reach the platform. Include inspection and service tasks in the layout rather than planning only around normal charging.

The wider cosmetic factory equipment and layout plan can help coordinate the tank with raw-material handling and neighboring equipment. Final dimensions are required before installation approval.

Assess Food and Cosmetic Applications Separately

The supplied application list includes cosmetic preparations and food sauces. Confirm each formulation against the actual mixing mechanism, material compatibility and cleaning method.

For sauces containing pieces, decide whether the homogenizer should be used at all. A processing stage intended to break down agglomerates may conflict with a requirement to preserve ingredient structure.

For cosmetic creams requiring coordinated heated phases and vacuum processing, the 100L hydraulic lift vacuum emulsifying machine represents a different process platform to review. It is not a capacity-equivalent substitute for this non-heated tank.

Do not assume that one cleaning procedure establishes suitability for alternating between every food and cosmetic product. Define product-changeover requirements for the actual factory.

Specify Discharge Around the Product’s Final Condition

The bottom butterfly valve provides the outlet, while external rotor, diaphragm or screw pump transfer is optional. Choose the pump against product viscosity, receiving height, transfer distance and handling requirements.

The pump selection guide for cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical processing provides a framework for that assessment.

A portable rotary lobe transfer pump with VFD is a specific option to evaluate where suitable. Confirm the actual duty and supply scope rather than assuming it is included with the tank.

Review the receiving process at the same time. Direct feeding to a filler can occupy the tank throughout packaging, while a separate holding stage introduces additional handling and cleaning.

Include Scraper and Homogenizer Access in Cleaning Planning

The mirror-polished product-contact finish and tri-clamp connections support cleaning assessment, but do not establish a complete automatic cleaning system.

Review the frame, blade attachments, bottom working head, valve seat and any connected transfer route. Identify the components that need separate cleaning and the access method approved by the manufacturer.

The guide to cleaning dead corners in process equipment provides further context. Do not infer residue-free discharge or complete cleaning from the roughness value alone.

Evaluate the Complete Production Workstation

The listed electrical power is 12 kW. The final load schedule should identify the installed drives and controls, with separately supplied transfer equipment assessed independently.

Include seal-cooling water, operator time, ingredient handling, cleaning resources and spare-part readiness when comparing costs. The total cost of ownership guide for cosmetic machinery provides a broader purchasing framework.

A non-heated system can be an appropriate choice when its functions match the recipe. It becomes less practical if the factory later needs to improvise missing thermal or vacuum stages for routine products.

Prepare a Model-Specific Purchase Checklist

  • Confirm that the intended formulations can use a non-heated vessel.
  • Provide viscosity together with temperature and measurement conditions.
  • Define routine and minimum required batch quantities.
